As a counselor time and time again I’ve recommended a book titled How to Raise an Adult by Julie Lythcott-Haimes. A book about the perils our students face because of over-involved, over-managed and over-scheduled lives. Our students have never been more intelligent. They have never had more access to information. They have also never been more anxious and stressed. And don’t forget the lack of self-efficacy and confidence.
