Fall in Merrimack

Merrimack College visited us today and I picked up a few tidbits a lot of my students would love to hear!

  1. They havemerrimack seasons (Apple picking, hay rides, snow…) something us Southern Californian’s are foreign too (Example: It is 82 degrees out and it’s October 9th.
  2. The liberal arts campus has an Integrated Biology major for pre-dental, pre-med and pre-vet students (fun story, I learned that pre-med students got to watch a doctor preform surgery via Google Glasses and needless to say some students chose to forgo pre-med and explore other majors in the health care related field!)
  3. Four new Graduate majors were incorporated giving students the opportunity to complete a 4+1 Masters degree in 5 years. (Here’s me sitting at my desk wishing I could go back and re-think my grad school choices!)
  4. Co-op programs and internships extremely available and accessible to students (plus the perk of being close to the city of Boston)

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this mid-size school in North Andover, Massachusetts.
